Thomas has over 25 years’ experience in Wealth Management, at Bankers Trust, Merrill Lynch, Bell Potter and Next Financial before Co-founding Mason Stevens in 2011. As Managing Director of Mason Stevens, Thomas worked across the Asset Management and Wealth Management business and managed several Family Office relationships as well as driving its distribution into the advisory channels. In 2019, he became Co-Chief Investment Officer. Over the last 2 decades he has advised Family Office, HNW clients and worked closely with Advisory groups on managing investments across all asset classes. He currently a non executive director of Cordis Asset Management, a member of the Art Gallery of NSW Foundation Finance and Investment committee and Chair of the Investment Committee for Matrix Norwest Asset Management.
Investment Advisor
Chathu brings over 22 years of extensive experience in the Financial Services Industry. She started her career with HSBC in Colombo & Maldives, afterwards joined NatWest Private Bank in London. In 2011 relocated from London to Sydney spending a decade with Citi Wealth Management serving High-net-worth wholesale clients, providing investment solutions. Prior to joining Tribeca, she served as a Senior Investment Advisor at Nab Private Bank dealing with High/Ultra high net worth clients. Chathu Holds a BA Honors degree in Business Finance from the University of East London, Certificate in Banking & Finance from the Chartered Institute of Bankers London. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) , Women on Boards (WOB), Women in Banking and Finance (WiBF) holding the Foundations of Directorship qualification.
Head of Research
Janice brings extensive global financial expertise across diverse markets. She began her career in sell-side Equity Research at BNP Paribas in Taipei, where she specialised in analysing the telecom and software sectors across Greater China and Japan. Transitioning to UBS Wealth Management in Hong Kong, Janice excelled as an Investment Adviser in the Active Portfolio Advisory team, providing cross-asset investment solutions to corporates, family offices, and UHNW clients. Her role at CTBC Private Banking in Singapore as an Equity Specialist saw her collaborating closely with the CIO to shape multi-asset portfolios and develop strategic equity insights. Now based in Australia, Janice continues to drive research excellence and strategic asset allocation, leveraging her broad international experience in investment. She holds a Master of Science in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a BBA in Accounting from National Taiwan University.
Associate
Michaela is a student at the University of Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Advanced Studies with majors in Banking and Finance. She joined Tribeca in 2023, assisting with data analysis, report building, communications, and helping create and refine administrative processes within the company.
Client Relationship Manager
Kate is responsible for the onboarding of new clients within the Private Wealth team and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. She ensures a seamless client experience. Kate brings with her over 15 years of experience in the wealth management industry, having held leadership and operational roles with some of the sectors top firms, Mercer Financial Advice and UniSuper Comprehensive Advice. Her expertise in client services, team management, and process optimisation positions her as a key contributor to the Private Wealth team’s success.
Chairman, Tribeca Private
Adam Lavis is the Chief Executive Officer of Tribeca Investment Partners where he is responsible for providing day to day leadership and setting the strategic direction for the firm. Prior to joining Tribeca, Adam has had an extensive 20-year career on both the buy and sell sides in Sydney, London and Hong Kong. Most recently, Adam was the Head of Equites for Citibank in Australia and New Zealand where he was responsible for all facets of the equities business across trading, sales, risk and compliance. At Citi he was a member of the Board of CFIML, the Global Equities Operating Committee, the Pan Asian Equities Executive Committee, and the AFMA Executive Committee. Prior to joining Citi in Hong Kong as Head of Trading for Asia, Adam was Deputy CIO of DragonBack Capital, a Pan Asian multi-strategy hedge fund. Adam started his career at Merrill Lynch in Sydney as a derivatives trader before relocating to London to run Emerging Markets trading and then transferring again to Asia to help establish Merrill’s Strategic Risk Group, an internal hedge fund responsible for managing over $4bn of capital.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts double degree from the University of Wollongong.

Director, Tribeca Private
David Aylward is the Executive Chairman of Tribeca Investment Partners where he is responsible for leading the strategic direction for the firm and serves as Portfolio Manager across a number of Tribeca’s investment strategies. With an investment career spanning over 30 years, David also co-manages the Tribeca Smaller Companies Strategy, one of Australia’s longest running active strategies focused on the smaller capitalization equities. Earlier in his career, David spent eight years as an equity analyst within the Australian equity team at Armstrong Jones and later as Head of Equity Research at Henderson Charlton Jones, an affiliate of Credit Suisse. In 1998, David co-founded Jenkins Investment Management, the forerunner to Tribeca Investment Partners, subsequently taking over the role of Managing Director upon the retirement of co-founder Paul Jenkins. David is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
